BROOKFIELD — A 35-year-old man was killed after he was hit by a train on Friday on the eastbound railroad tracks near Pilgrim Road and North Avenue, according to Brookfield Police Capt. Anthony Gatlin.
An eastbound train struck a person on the tracks west of Pilgrim Road.
No passengers were injured.
An investigation discovered the identify of the man, and police said he appeared to have died by suicide.
The matter remains under investigation, police said.
