With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Lindsey M. Jacob, wonderful daughter, devoted wife, amazing mother, and cherished friend. Lindsey left us peacefully on September 21, 2024, at the age of 38 after a brave battle with appendix cancer.
Lindsey鈥檚 journey in life was marked by her unwavering positivity, compassion, and selflessness. She faced the health challenges with remarkable strength and grace. Despite her own struggles, Lindsey always prioritized helping others and spreading joy wherever聽 she went. Her compassionate nature and infectious laugh touched the lives of many, and her radiant smile could brighten even the darkest of days.
Born on December 26, 1985, in 一品探花论坛, Lindsey was the beloved daughter of Tom and Lorry Badger. She was the realization of her parents鈥 dream of a perfect baby girl. She grew up in a sports-oriented family, attending and graduating from 一品探花论坛 North High School in 2004. Lindsey鈥檚 athletic talents shone on the girls鈥 golf team and was a member of the Northstar marching band.
Following her passion for helping others, Lindsey pursued a major in Speech Language Pathology at UW-Whitewater. In 2010, she proudly graduated with a master鈥檚 degree in SLP. Lindsey鈥檚 dedication to her craft led her to work as a speech therapist in various settings, including Shorehaven retirement home, the Oconomowoc, Franklin, and Sussex-Hamilton school districts. Her passion for helping others was evident in every aspect of her work and the impact on the lives of both students and co-workers was profound.
Beyond her professional achievements, Lindsey was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Kris, with whom she formed an inseparable bond after meeting at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Their partnership was a testament to unwavering support and shared聽 passions, their son Jordan, playing golf, the Milwaukee Brewers, a cold Riverwest Stein and a love for country music. Together, they embraced life to its fullest, creating beautiful memories along the way.
As a mother, Lindsey was unparalleled. She was the proud mother to Jordan, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She nurtured Jordan with endless love and support, always encouraging him to chase his dreams. She wanted nothing more than for him to have a wonderful life. Her warmth and strength resonated in everything she did, and her legacy will live on in the values she instilled in her family.
Lindsey was an accomplished golfer, proudly playing on the women鈥檚 golf team at UW-Whitewater. A lover of golf, Lindsey spent many sun-soaked days on the course, where she found joy not just in the game, but in the laughter and connection shared with family and friends. Her friendships encompassed all aspects of life, and each was special to her. Lindsey was a true and amazing friend.
In addition to her immediate family, Lindsey is survived by her dear brother, Jeffrey Badger (Gina), who will forever cherish their memories together. She is the daughter-in-law of Bob and Vicky Kline and Mike Jacob, brother-in-law to Seth Kline and sister-in-law to Gabby Kline and Haley Kline.聽 Lindsey was a special aunt to Mila Badger and Warren Kline and was adored by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.聽 Lindsey was preceded in death by her beloved聽 grandparents, Woodrow and Willough Badger and Tilman and Mary Matson.
In the face of adversity, Lindsey remained faithful and resilient. Her mantra, 鈥淎ll will be well,鈥 served as a guiding light, inspiring those around her to find strength in difficult times. Lindsey鈥檚 legacy of compassion, humor, and unwavering faith will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will always be a part of us, and we are kinder to have known her.
As we remember Lindsey, we invite her friends and family to celebrate her extraordinary life and the lasting impact she made on so many.
聽A celebration of her life will be held on October 17, 2024, at Club at Lac La Belle, 6996 Pennsylvania St., Oconomowoc, WI from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., to reminisce, share stories, and honor her memory. Per Lindsey鈥檚 request, wear whatever is most comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Jordan鈥檚 scholarship fund (details at Celebration) or The Living4Lindsey Foundation for appendix cancer awareness (), reflecting her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.聽
The family would like to thank the amazing medical team at Froedtert Hospital, especially Dr. Kothari and his team, for their exceptional care of Lindsey over the past five years.
Though her time with us was far too brief, we are grateful for the love, joy, and laughter Lindsey brought into our lives. She was a beacon of light, and her spirit will continue to shine in a world that she made a little bit brighter. Rest in peace, dear Lindsey. You are deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
